Counting down the days!

October 13th, 2006 by Jenny

Four more months to go, and Sean and I are starting to see how fast time is flying by now. With my new job, I don’t get vacation time until January, so I’m somehow managing to squeeze wedding plans into week nights, lunch breaks and Sundays. You might ask, “Why not Saturday?” If you know Sean and I pretty well, you know we are HUGE Univeristy of Georgia football fans (despite a very disappointing season), so our Saturdays are spent up in Athens at home games or at a friend’s house for away games :)

We have laid out almost all of our wedding plans. We are down to flowers and wedding transportation. My wedding dress is being altered, and I have my bridal jewelry and shoes. My girls have their dresses ordered and their shoes. The guys have their tuxes reserved (and dads too!). Our ceremony will be at First Baptist Marietta, and our reception is at The Whitlock Inn. We have our rehersal scheduled and rehersal dinner site reserved for the wedding party. Our invitations are
printed and addresses are being gathered. Sean and I are getting REALLY excited, but more than anything, we are grateful that John (my brother) and Megan’s wedding is in three weeks, so we can practice… haha. Thanks, you guys!

A small, intimate, family wedding is our setting. Our colors are warm and elegant, portraying an antique, classy style. We are looking to take a step back in time on our special day. It may be a little different than some weddings you have been to, but we feel it really reflects our style. We aren’t fancy people, but enjoy nice things. We like to sit around the table at dinner with our families, spend our weekends in jeans and T-shirts, and enjoy the company of our guests. We won’t have a loud DJ and dance floor, but you will be greeted by a string quartet and a “living room” atmophere. And the best part… the honeymoon… we’ll be laying on the beach of St. Lucia with an umbrella in our frosty beverages :)

Thanks already for all your support and encourgement! We are looking forward to catching up with many of you whom we haven’t seen in a long time and celebrating with the ones who we see often. Stay tuned!
