20 Weeks - We’re Half Way There!
Here I am at 20 weeks! I can’t believe we are half way there! But THANK GOODNESS! So far, it has felt like forever until we meet our new little baby. I’m getting really excited now that we’re at the 5 month hurdle. I’ve gained 10 pounds so far during my pregnancy, which is right on track of where I am suppose to be. I feel as big as a house, but I know I’ll get a lot bigger. My belly is getting tight, and my poor belly button gets more shallow by the day. This morning, I noticed that I had grown almost overnight. I was barely able to shave my legs and get my tennis shoes on, and my nice medium maternity sizes are on their last leg. I am stretching right out of those, so it’s almost time to move up a size.
MATERNITY CLOTHES NOTE: When you buy maternity clothes early on, do NOT buy a ton of clothes! Buy enough to get you through the next few months, and anticipate going shopping again at 6 months because you are not going to stay in the same size throughout your pregnancy. And slide-on shoes is a MUST! Sean has already suggested me getting the slip-on tennis shoes soon, and I have three other pairs of slide-ons to wear from now on. Tying shoes gets to be a real challenge!
So, that’s about it for now. This week is Thanksgiving. Sean and I will be traveling to North Carolina to visit mom and dad this week, so I won’t have any updates until next weekend. Have a Happy Thanksgiving! We sure have a lot to be thankful for this year!
