Sorry for the delayed post… I’ll explain. Last Monday, Sean and I went in for our 20 week ultrasound. This ultrasound is where all of the baby’s anatomy is confirmed to make sure everything is on track, as well as confirmation of the gender of the baby. In order to surprise my mom, who is very hard to pull any surprise by, we had to tell her we were getting our ultrasound the week after Thanksgiving. So, when we rolled into NC for Thanksgiving, we had a special present for her and my dad, confirming that we were having a boy. They were both very surprised!

During the ultrasound, the baby was very active during the first half of the exam. It was very obvious he was a little boy - haha. We also saw him with the hiccups for a few minutes. Then, when it came time to get some face and profile shots for mom and dad, he fell asleep!!!! I couldn’t believe the little stinker. He fell asleep face down and put his little hands over his face, as if he was hiding from us. Haha! Oh well! At least we got confirmation he was a boy. The tech had me eating chocolate and running in place for a few minutes, so see if he would wake up and turn for us. Boy, was that a sight to see! Sean was cracking up laughing! But still, he was fast asleep and never moved.

So, that’s the newest news about our little man. Both my mom and Sean made me promise not to shop anymore, since Christmas and baby showers would soon be approaching. I’m going to have to sit on my hands to keep from miscellaneous online purchases and stay out of the baby sections of stores to make sure I don’t buy anything. All of the toys and clothes are so much fun, and when you find a good deal, it’s hard to resist. This little one is already spoiled rotten!
