Here I am at 26 weeks and 3 days pregnant - only 95 more days to go! This week, Sean and I registered for our couple’s breastfeeding and childbirth classes. Sean is still perplexed as to why a man needs to go to a breastfeeding class, but I keep telling him that he needs to be there, since he is my support person. That should be an interesting two sessions - haha! We also have scheduled our first baby shower. Sean’s mom has graciously offered to host a couple’s shower on behalf of Baby Jack in February, so we are really excited about that. The nursery is mostly completed. We have a bookshelf and a glider to put in there to finish things off, but those items are coming at a later date. My mom and dad wanted to buy us the glider, and my dad may help us out by building the bookshelf. Jack already got a lot of things for Christmas. Some of the main highlights were that John and Megan bought him a Jeep wagon for the playroom and mom and dad bought him various books, toys and outfits. His crib is full of clothes to be washed and put away. And the biggest task this month is for Sean and I to take a trip to Home Depot for the closet organization in his nursery. It’s a very odd shaped closet that has lots of space that you cannot access right now, so we hope to make it more functional and change that very soon, so we can start finding a place for all of Jack’s things.
