Simple Solutions to Seemingly Complex Problems

January 15th, 2008 by Jenny

Yesterday, I wrote about our dog dilemmas that we were having at our house. Today, Tucker’s constant whining in his crate was solved by one simple item: a blanket. Sean and I probably spent about $200 on dog beds in 2007 because of Tucker. When we leave the house, Tucker always seems to destroy his bed. So, we took the beds away and made him stay in his crate with nothing in there. This is the dog who made a “nest” in our dirty clothes one night because we didn’t have a dog bed for him in the bedroom. Sean found him in the closet on top of our clothes at 5 a.m. HAHA! I don’t know why, but Tucker just needs a bed for security. So, I found an old blanket today and put it in his crate. To my amazement, the whining stopped immediately, Tucker balled up the blanket into his little nest, and he fell fast asleep for several hours. So, there ya go! A blanket… simple solution to a problem that was driving me nuts!
