31 Weeks and Counting!
This has been a busy week for us - probably one of the most busy weeks since the holidays. I have made a long list of errands that need to be run before Jack arrives, and it will probably take me a month to get them all done. I get so tired these days that I can only accomplish a few things each day without getting too exhausted. And Tucker “the Hound” McBucker has given me a run for my money - literally - over the past week. We went back to the vet today for a follow-up. They are currently reviewing his xrays taken at the emergency animal clinic to see what could possibly be going on with his throat. It had them baffled this morning, so he got a brief exam, and we left the xrays with them, so they could consult some radiologists.
Moving on to more exciting topics, we started our Couples Breastfeeding class this week at the hospital. It’s a two-day class that covers all you need to know about breastfeeding. It actually has turned out to be well worth the money! Sean and I were both glad we signed up for it because we both are better prepared on what to expect and we also found out some great things about the hospital we are delivering at (great nursing staff, many nurses are trained and experienced in lactation, one-on-one attention - some of the things that get lost in a larger hospital). Our childbirth class will be coming up in March.
Sean and I have a few dates planned, too, which is fun. We are eating out more than usual these days, but I guess we better get it out of our system, since the baby will be here very soon. We are celebrating our anniversary and Valentine’s Day on Friday night in Atlanta, and my parents sent us a gift card to Carrabba’s for our anniversary, so we will put that to good use too!
I’m all blogged out for this week, I think, but stay tuned this weekend. It’s our first baby shower, and I’m really excited about getting a few things for Baby Jack. I’ll make sure that we take lots of pictures! Have a good week, y’all!
