It was a cold, cloudy day, but we sure had a lot of fun! Today was my Sunday School baby shower at Gretchen’s house. Both Gretchen and Ashley worked so hard to put together such a beautiful shower for me. I was sitting there opening gifts in awe at how close we were to Baby Jack’s arrival and how supportive my friends have been during this special time of our lives.

After snacking on some goodies, we played a celebrity baby name game. Then, the girls had to put a piece of paper on their heads and try to draw a baby on top of their heads. Congrats to Kate on doing such a great job with hers! That was really funny! Next, it was gift time. I got so many great things - thank you guys so much! Lastly and most importantly, the girls circled around me and prayed for me, Sean and Baby Jack. What a special moment! Sean and I appreciate all of your prayers, and it means so much to us to have friends and family who are praying for us daily.

A lot of the girls had to take off after that, but some of us stuck around for some real baby talk. It’s so neat to have so many friends in different stages of having a baby. I’ve learned so much from all of them. I can’t say enough how wonderful it is to have strong, Christian friends that you can confide in when you need them. Coming from someone who didn’t have that for a long time, it just makes life a lot sweeter!
