Tummy Time & Rattles
There are some days that I wake up and see that our son has grown up overnight. This morning, Jack woke up and was able to hold his rattle for the first time. He sat in his bouncy seat and held it, then he brought it to his mouth to suck on it, and then he starting shaking it once he realized it made noise. I couldn’t believe it! He also managed to bonk himself in the head with it. After he realized what he had done, he broke out in a heartbreaking cry. He didn’t cry long. I think it surprised him more than anything.
Not enjoying laying flat on his tummy, I decided to pull out the Boppy pillow and prop him up on his tummy with that. He loved it! He was looking all around, from side to side, soaking everything in. He was able to hold his head up with a lot more control today. When I first tried it out, he started cooing and squealing in excitement. It was so cute!
It’s amazing how fast he is growing. At night, I find myself sitting in the glider just holding him tight and soaking in each and every moment as much as I can.
