Constipation, Teething, Reflux and A Cold

Yep, those are all the things Jack is dealing with at once. It seems his new reflux medicine is causing some constipation with our little man. Usually, breastfed babies don’t have this problem, but the pediatrician said sometimes this can still happen. Luckily, it’s not the solids causing this problem. We’re going to try 2 oz. of apple juice with 2 oz. of water and see if that will unclog him. If not, we’ll have to change his reflux medicine, which the pediatrician doesn’t want to do right away since it seems to be working well for him.

Jack’s teething is hit or miss these days. It doesn’t seem to be bothering him as much as it was in the beginning. He is still drooling a ton, and there is the same white speck on his gums, but no teeth yet!

He seemed to catch a cold a few weeks ago. We have been using saline drops, the aspirator and a cold mist humidifier to help clear him up and keep things loose. It’s been bothering him a lot while he is sleeping. His nose is always clogged up when I go to get him out of his bed. Hopefully, it won’t last much longer. Apparently, there isn’t a decongestant you can use at his age. So, we just have to wait it out.

Oh, and he weighed 16.13 pounds today! And yes, my back hurts! HA!
