This has been a fun month for Mr. Jack. He is really growing up! With each passing week, I see dramatic changes physically and mentally. In only a few more days, Jack will be 15 months old! I can’t believe June is already gone! We’re taking him for his wellness check-up later this week, so I’ll report his growth stats then. But I am convinced he has gained a few pounds and grown a few inches. He seems so much bigger lately!
Jack got a new inflatable pool to help pass these hot summer days. We have to put it on the back porch because our yard is too slanted, but it works out just fine. Here are a few pics of Jack in his big boy pool! It’s the new Fisher Price Animal Planet pool. It has this cute little whale that comes with it that shoots water out of its spout when you set it in the water. Jack would always lean right over it so that it shot him right in the face. He was NOT a fan! Now we leave it turned off so he can still play with it without getting so upset. HA!
Grandpa and Grandma came to visit last week. They only had one full day to be here, but Dad doesn’t get to come down very often, so we made the most of our time together. My favorite memory from this past trip was that we went Lowes, and Dad thought it would be fun to let Jack sit on the riding lawn mowers. Jack absolutely LOVED it! From then on, Jack would only let Grandpa hold him! Mom and I both tried to take him from Dad to give him a break, but Jack would have NONE of that! He just wanted his Grandpa! It was very sweet! He was definitely attached to his Grandpa on this trip. And when they had to leave, Jack was so sad. It was the first time he ever showed real emotion about either one of them leaving. But he had the most concerned look on his face like, “Where are they going, Mommy?” He was pretty mopey for the rest of the day and kept looking for them around the house. Here are a few pictures from Grandpa and Grandma’s visit:
Today, we bought Jack’s first pair of 2T shorts!!!!!!!!!! I still can’t believe it! He has been wearing 2T PJs and one-piece outfits for quite awhile now, but to actually be getting into 2T shorts and shirts is something else! I’m taking comfort that a lot of his 18-24 month summer clothes still fit him just fine. I’m convinced the shorts MUST run a little small. HAHA!
Here are a few more pictures of Jack from the month of June. We’ll update soon!
